T6 electric tailgate

I have t6 with electric tailgate it goes up and down perfect but the very last bit we’re it should lock doesn’t engage . Does anybody have any advice or help thanks

Can you manually push it up to the top then save the height by pressing in the close button on the bottom of the lid and holding it in until you hear it bleep.

Just re read this. So it’s not closing. Can you check the soft close is working? Close the latch with a screwdriver and the motor should pull the latch in

ok I’ll check that . If Motor doesn’t kick in what will be needed thanks
