T6 Aftermarket Digital Instrument Cluster

I was running the June 2025 build of the firmware/ software.

A few reasons for attempting an upgrade were:

1. There were some minor display bugs in the T7 style dash and I was hoping to see some improvements. E.g. fuel tank range not displaying in some views where you would expect it.

2. I'd read somewhere (probably on this forum) that they had come up with a fix / workaround to prevent you accidentally setting the speed warning. The fear of activating that usually stops me from interacting with the menu system.

3. Id recently had my van serviced and was getting a warning on the new cluster to say "Please check the connection of the wiring harness". But there were no new faults on any module which would be causing this. So I was hoping it was a software issue not reading a totally different message on the original cluster. After swapping back to my original cluster, I can see there was a new warning for Inspection due... seems they had reset the service interval but not the inspection interval. I assume this was the issue but can't test as its bricked...
I’ve been doing mine on the online upgrade option direct to the car rather than using a usb stick.

I do have one glitch with the October update which is the fuel range keeps jumping from day 156 mile to 260 miles.
I thought the next upgrade would possibly correct this but may wait and have a chat with Antony before I jump in and do it

There may be some sort of debug port on the board somewhere where someone with the knowledge can attach a cable and reflash it. Alternatively, just PM me and I'll send you my dash for free. I took it out as I didn't like the quirky nature of it (bluetooth calls etc).

Very kind. But do not give your board away for free!

I'll see what the support contact says and maybe PM with you with an offer if it is completely bricked.

Strangely I seem to have a low pressure warning on my Digi dash now, is this a coincidence or related?

well it's fitted and working, i didn't need to conect the red wire.
have a couple of niggles
1 the distance left flashes from 150 to 450 miles left?
Was there a fix for the distance left glitch? I'm now wondering if there's a way I can just rollback to previous software?

Does anyone have copies of the previous software/firmware? I think mine was April before updating. Kind of wishing I hadn't bothered

Not bricked. No issues, drop me a video call just now on WhatsApp and I will get you sorted.

I have a seat ibiza fr 2018 and also installed the aftermarket VC few months back.

Today when driving, started to randomly get chimes whenever I hit 20mph each single time.

When i parked my car and then after a while I started driving again, it stopped coming at 20mph and was fine, thought it was fixed.

But when i drove again, the chime keeps coming at 20mph.

Can someone please help me?

Sounds like the speed warning thing. Everyone says to set the limit to something really high before installing the cluster.

Yes, well i had that issue before and i used OBD11 and went to module 17 and set my speed warning to the max possible, and then the chime never came back. Now after few months, this chime keeps coming at 20mph

Unfortunately it sounds like you've inadvertently re enabled it while changing settings on the dash.

Just received a new firmware for my series 1 dash. They've fixed the TPMS PSI issue, I can also select different tyre sizes. I also had a problem with not being able to select different blind spot monitoring brightness. This is fixed too. There is a new 'long needle' dash and you can also select different themes. Just waiting to see if the range issue is fixed

Hi guys, new to the forum but from what I can see, very informative and helpful. I have just installed a virtual cluster from aliexpress (seller HIRIOT) but presume they’re all the same!

Took a punt as a voucher made it £252. BARGAIN.

Few little niggly glitches which I want to sort if anyone can guide me through this, I have OBD11 membership so if I require coding, I can give that a go.

Essentially my issue is regarding fuel levels and range, after reading through this forum, setting the tank settings to 80L has given me what I think is correct levels, but the range is showing unrealistic figures. When I turn on the vehicle, I think it’s displaying the correct range I should have, this case 192miles - then a few seconds go by and it shoots up to 304miles. Anyone have any advice for this please? Video link attached - I think everything else is ok with it luckily.

Thanks in advance. All the best.

@T6Josh can you share a link to the virtual dash that you’ve purchased please. Thanks. Nick
