T6 Aftermarket Digital Instrument Cluster

Has anyone had the tyre pressure warning come up on their cluster? Yesterday I got a bong noise while going round the M25 but no warning for anything on the display. When I reached my destination I plugged in VCDS and had a tyre pressure low warning. Bit of an issue if the warning doesn't show up!

So far my noted list of unknown bongs are (but not limited to):
  • Service due in
  • Service overdue (forgot to reset it after i serviced it the other week and the penny dropped on Tuesday)
  • Tyre Pressure
  • Windscreen Fluid Low

Oh, I thought maybe it was just my config but how has tyre pressure warning been overlooked especially how it gives a DTC that's readable over CAN?

Service bongs and probably windscreen washer I can live with but tyre pressure is a big issue.

Does seem like a bit of an oversight but i imagine one that is easily rectified with an update

It would be nice to have somewhere updated list of issues with this digital dash, just to inform what are the "risks". I would buy one, but tbh I'm following this thread from beginning and I'm not sure what are exact issues and trade offs... So cannot even consider buying due to uncertainty that something will occure after installing it and my wife will kill me :D

The other thing to add to the list for me (version 1) is the brightness settings for day and night don’t work. The screen only follows the night time setting. OTA updates don’t seem to work anymore so it doesn’t look like the issue will be fixed.

Ahh, I have the same issue, do you have DRL?

I found if you start the car with them off the dash will be bright but it won't change once you have started the engine.

Interesting, Yes I have LED headlights and the tail lights are set to come on all the time. So the dash mist think it’s night time always.

Sounds exactly the same as mine (V1 dash too although never had the OTA updates work, firmware was jan 2025). Try turning the switch to off rather than auto and see what happens?

I'm sure there must be a newer firmware version out by now.

Maybe @antony.charnley could weigh in?

Gave it a try this morning, it’s not worked for me but my side lights are coded to come on with the DRLs so maybe that’s why. Unless it’s something to do with the ambient light sensor in the original cluster that’s now constantly in the dark

Ahh, yes I may have changed mine while I was testing (was a while ago now)
