Not an insurance recommendation. As it is a 4Motion do check clean replace the oil and filter of the HALDEX. It does become very dirty and really needs attention more frequently than some paperwork might indicate and will affect the performance of the HALDEX.
Every 20,000 miles was recommended to me. Don't know if this is right or not
Not sure about what might be the right distance certainly no more than 20,000 probably less would be better. Their area few posts threads covering it. With some it was not on the service plan. Mine get used off road every day so I do not know if that lessens the mileage or makes no difference. Apparently the unit is under pressure almost the whole time when we drive and is under pressure all but a for a few circumstances. So perhaps 10,000 -15,000 miles. Some do it them selves others book it in
It was mmi that brought it to my attention and I had it booked in and changed immediately at my Independent and was very glad I did it was by all accounts very black and filthy and not working quite as it should though things wear gradually at first and one does not notice quite at first and may put things down as some other cause or something else is going on ect.
