T6.1 Wing Mirror Stuck

When I returned to my T6.1 van, parked at a doctor's surgery yesterday, the passenger wing mirror was folded in but I'd left it open. I can neither open it nor open/close the passenger window, they must be attached to the same mechanism.
Has anyone had this and worked out how to release it? I'm afraid I'll break it if I try to push it down I've tried with the driver's door switch but it only opens and closes the driver's wing mirror.
Someone must've knocked it pretty hard

Do either of them make a noise as if it is trying to unfold? Or - just nothing.

If the window has failed as well (have I read that right?), then it could be the door (window) module, this controls the mirror too. A wiring break is possible too.

Thank you. Yes I'm now wondering if it's a fault and that no one actually damaged it

Sorry to jump on this but relevant title - looking for advice. Just hit a carpark post in Girona and completely knocked the driver side mirror off. Seen lots about only a full replacement is possible but could I disconnect electrics and do without - thankfully it's on the right hand side. Likelihood of getting a replacement is pretty minimal.
Might be a stupid question but can't see an option.
