T6.1 - engine sound

Hi guys!
I'm new to the forum and new to T6 world. Yesterday I had test drive in T6.1 from Jul 2021 with 10k milage, 110PS.
When I started the test ride (cold engine), I could hear whistling noise while accelerating. It was like a whistling turbine noise. More you pushed the gas it louder it went.
However, the sound stops after 5min drive.
is that normal sound for T6 that you can hear turbine working?
I currently have Caddy Maxi (2018, 2l engine with 28k on clock) and mine does not have that sound.
So, I’m not sure if it is something wrong with this particular T6 or it is a normal in those engines.

Hi @trinitykala I have a September 2021 T6.1 with just 1400 miles and I haven’t noticed any whistling sounds fro my engine.

Strange noise under acceleration when cold ?

Hi guys, I have a 21 plate t6.1 150 dsg. For the last month or so I have noticed a strange high pitched whoosh / squeak that only comes on under acceleration. And only for the first mile of driving or so . If you drive with hardly any throttle it’s not there but if you press say. 60% throttle...

Yeah, that is what I was worried about. I think I will look for another van. Thanks for the reply.
