Hi All,

Recenlty purchased a T5.1 T30 SWB and I have a query about the suspension setup, the Van is a dual silder Kombi with no fixtures in the rear and I think the sus[pension sits a little high at the back.

Measurements from the centre of the wheel to the arch are:

Front 415mm
Rear 490mm

Is this normal? I am eventually looking at lowering, but thats likely not for a few months!

I didn't think so, looking through the service history the rear springs and shocks were replaced July 2024 by an independant garage. I may call them and see if they have a record of what they ordered and as they've done work on this van for the last 6/7 years if they replaced the front springs at anytime

Well, I think I've got to the bottom of the issue, having a look at the springs the fronts are stamped Eibach and VW677 which look to be the sportline springs... the rear were replaced last year as I mentioned SOOOO i'm guessing factory standard springs, still puts the rear [pretty high

Anyone know where I can get rear sportline springs from, my searchs are only throwing up full kits!

Are you sure someone has not fitted T32 springs to the rear so it sits level when loaded?

Equally possible that an independent garage has no idea the Sportline springs exist for retrofitting and ordered the springs the van was fitted with at the factory when replacing the rear which would explain the discrepancy.

@Deanoc you'll need to go to a dealer (or TPS if your local one will serve you without an account). The Sportline springs are a UK market only item.

It looks like the sportline springs are only sold in a complete set, front & back, or at least that’s what I’ve turned up so far!

The full set is pretty expensive, I’ve seen H&R springs recommended all over the place. So considering swapping out front and back springs with a set of 40mm H&R springs.

What are people running in terms of the sets available (1, 2, 3 or 4) on a T30?, no conversion, don’t carry obscene loads, we sleep in the van, 4 of us go away in it and it’s loaded with camping gear and at most 2 bikes.

If you are changing springs would a coil over set not be an option?
I’ve been running Stance+ on mine for 7 years.
Not expensive and made a big difference to mine.
