Lowering springs

Hi all,

I’m in the process of trying to work out what to do in terms of lowering my van. It’s a 2014 T5.1 T30 SWB and currently has 20” wheels with 255/40/20 tyres.

I’m almost certain it has been lowered by the previous owner, it sits much lower than others I’ve seen with stock suspension and 20” wheels. Im trying to work out how much lower than standard it is, so I can decide how much further to go.

The dampers are almost certainly standard, so I’m assuming he’s just changed the springs. I’ve had a look and the front springs are stamped with 45/13 VW677. Can’t see anything on the back. From Google and a search on the forum this appears to relate to Sportline springs. Can anyone confirm whether this is the case and if so how much lower the van would sit compared to stock?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Its easy to determine how low the van is , take a tape measure from the centre of the wheel vertically to the top of the arch , =Standard it will be 460 mm if its 420 you are 40 mm lower and so on
