T32 Front Calipers

Front stoppers are due a change on my T28 T6.1

Without going mad on cost, I've been looking at the bigger 340mm T32 set up.

Found these on eBay Pardon our interruption...

Anyone fitted these particular calipers on to their van? Im assuming that they are not genuine VW parts (reps) and I have heard stories of the casting not being great and pads not sitting properly?

Any help would be great, Thanks.

If you’ve heard these horror stories why risk stopping the bus on replica brakes?
Personally I wouldn’t take the risk and buy genuine.
That’s me though but I do own the big brake set up already.
TBH I once had a 2005 T28 and found the original brakes fantastic.
VW wouldn’t spend millions developing a van and putting shite brakes on it.

I’d like a bit more stopping power to be honest and visibly behind my 20’ wheels they do look small.

Hence looking at the bigger twin piston T32 set up that’s made for the van.

I’m just after some first hand experience of anyone running the set up in the link.

Stopping power is easy, although I can activate the ABS in the dry in my T28 so would suggest the brakes are ample, assuming fluid is recent and the pads aren't cooked or glazed.

But if you want the rims filled a bit more then bigger is deffo what you need.

If youre going to be swapping calipers when why not something that really spices things up such as Wilwood, or the slick looking ones Nutexa sell as a kit with discs?

I am assuming you have at least 17" rims?

I would choose to buy some used calipers and overhaul them with some service kits. The ebay ad’ doesn’t even list a recognised pattern part brand, it’s showing ‘az’ which is the parts shop that’s selling them.

The going rate for 340 mm kits seems to be around £500-600 so by the time you add discs and pads to that eBay kit I’m not seeing much saving over all genuine parts ?
