T32 and T28 Are the suspension set ups different??

Evening folks.
My daughter has just taken delivery of a 150 DSG Kombi. I have a 199 DSG Kombi. She has 16" Claytons I have 18" Amaroks. Both vans empty.
Her van drives so much more comfortable than mine. Is it a suspension difference or wheel / tyre combo issue do we think?

Different suspension

Bloody hell Deaky you're quick off the mark....ahh bugger, I'd rather drive hers to be honest.

I'm no expert on suspension but it seems from this thread:
That T30 springs would fit a T32 (and I guess T28 ones would too).
I'm not suggesting that this is the correct option for the OP, but it is a cheap and easy option which might help.
@Dannyb6467 I see you're not far from Cannock.
I'd speak with @CRS Performance if I were you, they sorted mine out, getting a professional opinion can't hurt.

Interesting point Dave. I'm not far from Cannock. What did CRS do for you?

I had Koni shocks fitted, they improved my T30, it handles much better now.
Steve knows these vans inside out and the suspension industry, he will tell you what your options are.
I'll be calling him. I'd realised how hard the ride was despite messing about with tyre pressures but hadn't realised how bad compared to a T28....

Hi DaveD,

T30 springs would indeed fit on the T32, but it is not recommended. T30 means the vehicle has a GVW (gross vehicle weight) of 3000kg, and T32 would mean 3200kg. Each spring is tuned specifically to the GVW of the vehicle, interchanging the springs will affect your vehicle dynamics (stiffer ride when you use T32 springs on a T28 etc). Hopefully this is a bit helpful.

Not recommended by?....It's not something I need to do, but others have done it and replated the vehicle accordingly for a better ride on a vehicle carrying lower weights. CRS performance agrees with my post - he knows more about suspension than most of us.
