Survey of Adblue issues suffered by T6 Forum Members

Well known fault which always appears on French holidays when you’re more than 650 miles from a ferry- all will be well when you get back to Blighty, enjoy the rest of the trip
You might actually be onto something there. This year I've had the yellow "Cat" light on twice, both times I was half way down France, once in January on our way to the Alps, and the second time about 6 weeks ago on our way to Spain. It stayed on for a couple of hundred miles and cleared itself. The fault on both occasions was "NOx reductant bank 1 efficiency" or something similar. I suspect it's a sensor on it's way out.

@mmi - sorry for the delay in coming back to you. What do you mean by 'Could you please share again Carista Detailed ECU info'? I can't remember posting it in the first place (which doesn't mean much other than I've forgotten about it!). In any event, I probably deleted the file a while ago. I did run another Carista report a week or so again but it didnt show any errors

The previous ECU info ;)

Not the errors but curious to see what the engine software is currently running.

@mmi. Thanks for that - I'll run Carista later today (or perhaps tomorrow) and post the result. I'm not surprised that I didn't remember the previous post - I sometimes forget what I did yesterday so nearly 5 years ago is ancient history to me!

I’ve got an adblue issue currently

The vans going back to VW tomorrow. This is the first bonnet based thing it’s going back for, the other stuff was a dodgy heated wing mirror, the sos module and an iffy USB.

I’ve got the all in plan, so hoping that will cover it

@mmi. Here you go - I downloaded it about a couple of hours ago. As an aside, I noticed for the first time that Adaptive Cruise Control is mentioned in the reports and I didn't even know that the van had it. Until now, I thought the radar in the front of the van was there just for 'City Braking' (not that I have ever noticed either that or ACC kicking in!).
Let me know if you need anything else.

You can tell if you have ACC by the steering wheel buttons. Have you got a pic of the left hand buttons?

Thanks.
The ECU has got the software which should have resolved false AdBlue issues. However, interestingly there is a quite recent update for the ECU 🤔

The radar module is a bit misleadingly labeled always by Carista as Adaptive Cruise. As @Salty Spuds mentions the steering wheel buttons tell if there actually is ACC.

@mmi. See above - I suspect you're right as usual.
On the subject of software, I suspect the ablue delete will happen before I ever go back to a VW dealer again - there must be good ones out there but all those that I've been to have been useless.
