Strengthen Bulkhead?

I ratchet a large trolley against the bulkhead and over time it has started to dent and warp. I can pick up a replacement bulkhead pretty cheaply on eBay but I'm looking for ideas to strengthen it to stop this happening again.

The trolley is tall and heavy and pushes against the top half of the bulkhead.

Any ideas gratefully received!

I would probably weld some extra metal plate / stiffening bars on to the back to beef it up as its only sheet metal

Stick a sheet of 18mm plywood against the bulkhead to spread the impact damage from the trolley of destruction.

Bolt some channel section steel to the existing bulkead.
