Steering wheel upgrade / Coding

Hello. I need help with coding.
I installed a new steering wheel with the code: 2H6419091 and the steering wheel is missing gearshift paddles.
IMG-20250406-WA0007.jpgIMG-20250406-WA0008.jpgIMG-20250406-WA0015.jpg

Then I also replaced the airbag wiring harness:

IMG-20250406-WA0009.jpg

Then I connected the necessary wires to the BMC and also ran the power cable there.

When I started coding, I found two places where I added checkmarks:

IMG-20250406-WA0012.jpgIMG-20250406-WA0010.jpg

I also found a place for the cruise control, which was already active. I have the cruise control together with the turn signal lever.

After coding, the situation is like this.
The buttons on the steering wheel and the horn started working. But the problem is that now the cruise control no longer works and the car gets an error that it cannot connect to the gearshift paddles on the steering wheel.
Now the engine light also started to come on and the dashboard shows that the cruise control is activated. When I press the buttons, nothing happens.

IMG-20250406-WA0017.jpgIMG-20250406-WA0014.jpgIMG-20250406-WA0013.jpg

What could be the thing I should do to get this cruise control working and get rid of these errors.

Regards Albert

Am surprised no one has been in touch with this. I'm wondering if it has perhaps been covered in previous threads? See below thread suggestions)

I'm looking to install a new steering wheel in the next year or so and retro installing ACC so am always interested in these threads.

Hope you get it sorted - keep us updated

To understand what the van thinks about the installation please post

(1) An old VCDS Auto-Scan before any adjustments or installs were made
(2) Current VCDS Auto-Scan
(3) A blockmap data from 01-Engine
(4) A blockmap data from 09-Central Electrics

How-to create a blockmap data package

VCDS > Applications > Controller Channel Map >

For "Single controller address" - use 01 and 09

Tick/fill boxes as above and click on Go.
There will be files blockmap-01-...CSV and blockmap-09-...CSV in folder C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Logs\....
Note: only VCDS HEX-V2 and VCDS HEX-NET cables have the capability to create blockmap files.

Hello. I am attaching the requested files here.
The file named Log- is before the steering wheel was coded and Log-NMN-34 is after the steering wheel was installed and coded.

Just realised that actually a good one might be in your earlier post

Log-NMN-34 is after the steering wheel was installed and coded.
Could you please redo a full VCDS Auto-Scan - this one is only BCM, thus missing all the other comtrollers.

Anyways, the BCM also lost communication with door controllers - which were still present in the "before" scan.
Also the steering wheel (button) controller was not registered - perhaps related to lost door controllers???

Did the steering wheel come with the buttons?
Do you have part number for steering wheel button controller?

Any idea why the rain&light sensor is missing - has it been removed/disconnected since 2023?
As this scan is from yesterday - did you really remove the steering wheel etc. for the scan, or was it still electrically connected?

After coding (2025-04-23)

The subsystems were lost

Hey, here's the new VCDS Auto-Scan.
I bought the steering wheel with the buttons. I also posted a picture of the part number for the buttons.

Any idea why the rain&light sensor is missing - has it been removed/disconnected since 2023? -- Yes, it was disconnected.

2H6 419 091 is the steering wheel frame - not the buttons?

It seems the buttons are still not recognised by the BCM.
What was wrong previously when all the submodules were missing?

I would expect to see an additional submodule for the buttons similar to this below
Code:
   Subsystem 4 - Part No SW: 7E0 959 442 HW: 7E0 959 442 Labels: 3C8-959-537.CLB
   Component: E221__MFL-MD9 H02 0103
   Coding: B0FFFF

Does the VCDS see the buttons submodule in the BCM pull-down menu?
