Steering left after alignment?

After changing tyres from 235/55/17 to a slightly taller 225/65/17 and getting an alignment done I'm finding the van pulls to the left. I went back to the tyre shop after a 3000k trip and after blaming potholed road surfaces they charged me another $90 to align the wheels. I took it for a run on the highway and it still pulls to the left- albeit it's not dramatic and the road is cambered a little to the left. That said my other cars don't start drifting left if you release the wheel.
The excuse I'm getting from the workshop is that VW transporters are very hard to get right as there are too few adjustment points. That all sounds like b.s to me but I thought I'd ask the brainstrust here if any of it is true. Are these vans inherently difficult to align?

BS. Mine pulling slightly to the left and wheel was off centre. Took it to a real pro (hard to find though) the van goes Straight and steering wheel being centred.

Hi I read a post on the forum about this previously, but I can no longer find it. My T6 Transporter is a year old now, but after getting wheel alignment done twice, I am still convinced that the vehicle pulls slightly to the left. I have tested it on long trips, and obviously been cognisant...

It can be a struggle getting your van to steer straight, T6 seems oversensitive to camber.
The tracking company I used was recommended by my local VW specialist after they fitted a new trailing arm and bushes to (successfully) resolve tyre wear issues.
All tracking is in tolerance, and they did have 3 more attempts to minimise pulling to minimum but not completely resolved.
Tyres are wearing fine.

If your tyres are already worn on the nearside/outer edge you’ll probably still pull anyway, no matter how correct the alignment.

Back in the day we’d swap left to right wheels, not so easy these days with directional tyres, but may be worth getting a tyre place to swap tyres over for you?

You’re probably right, but not enough of an issue until tyres need replacing. Wouldn’t have replaced the trailing arm except it was covered by an extended warranty.
