Steering clonk

Only happened a few times but I've definitely heard a clunk/creak on full lock.

Brings back bad memories of the dreaded T5.1 steering column issue. Uh oh...

Anyone else had this?

I had a Mercedes do this...brand new, they kept saying there was nothing wrong with it until I left it across the doors to the showroom and wouldn't move it until they looked at it properly...needed a new drive shaft...I'd driven round in it for 3 months with a 4 year old in it!

Well, if it's the same creak I had.....it's easily sorted! Drove me nuts.....worse in summer or in winter WITH heat coming from foot vents! Liberal application of silicone spray every 3 to 6 months sorted it. No, you shouldn't have to do it, but 10 mins scratting about in the foot well was a small price to pay for a creak that drove me bloody crazy!!
