Starter Battery bus bar?

Hello,

I might be really thick here but looking through some posts/pictures of various engine bays people seem to have a bus bar near the starter battery.

Is this on all models? (T6.1)

I'm looking to connect up my dc-dc charger and only have this

Same as my T6.
That's a beast of a DC cable!
Will it go under the existing wire (start/stop) with the yellow sleeve? Might need a washer too.

Its 25mm² I think it looks bigger as it is pointed towards the camera.

Will it go under the existing wire (start/stop) with the yellow sleeve? Might need a washer too.

That's where I will be putting it if I dont have a bus bar hidden around somewhere.

This is a highline, I wonder if it was removed. I'm not sure thats the oem battery

My 6.1 Highline Kombi has the extra box

The fusebox is probably under the battery, it is on mine. Given you look like you’ve fused it already though, and the box under the battery is a right pain to get to, you might just want to stick it straight on the positive terminal.

EDIT - Sorry, mine is a T6, unsure if any T6.1 also have them underneath.

The T6.1's have the box on top. The T6's don't including the highline. That battery isn't OEM which would probably be knackerd by now anyway.
Everything looks normal. No busbar available. Fix as suggested earlier.

T6.1 comes with the extra fuse box on top.

Both the T6 & T6.1 have the master SA fuse box under the starter battery.

I'll put it on the terminal like other have suggested.

Just left with a mystery on why my 2020 T6.1 Highline does not have one

I thought they did until recently, but not all T6.1s appear to do. @Drive Wayne 's doesn't have the fuse box on top.

As with all things VW, it will depend on the build list on the van and what they had on the shelf that week....

Good old poverty model Startline. Makes it easier to change the SB though!
