Wanted Springfields

My point is that, as a paid up member, if I posted a wanted advert for something and a non VIP had that item I would want them to respond.

If a non-VIP posted a ‘how much is it worth?’ thread or an obvious advert via another forum category then I trust the moderators will deal with it appropriately.

You'd be mistaken then as I raised this exact point a few days ago and the mods gave a negative action response

No need for a “barney” folks or splitting hairs on what is written v what what the intent is.

If a post is ambiguous about selling or the rules on selling, just flag it to a moderator to adjudicate on and leave it at that

Absolutely - no need to antagonise anyone when there are moderators to apply the rules.

I’ve actually reported @Sackmycook ’s post as a means to seek clarity on the matter of non VIPs replying to wanted adverts. Personally I think this is acceptable and beneficial to VIP members on the odd occasion it may occur.

I have no issues with non VIP members replying to a wanted advert

It is only a requirement to have VIP membership to start a thread in the for sale/wanted section but anyone is able to reply

There are some circumstances where this privilege is abused with multiple replies to multiple threads old and new etc and these may be edited or deleted as a moderator sees fit but that is done on a ‘per post’ basis by that individual.
