Sportline Front Bumper Lower Middle Part?

Hi All,

Unfortunately I hit a stray tree branch in the road earlier and it wiped out my splitter and lower middle part from the Sportline bumper….. (part circled below)

Splitter is easy to replace, but does anyone know where I could get the middle part without replacing the whole Sportline bumper part.

Any help is appreciated even if it’s a part number for worst case genuine VW purchase….

Good luck with that, took 9 weeks for my parts to arrive. Sportline parts are special order, not on the VW database.

Just wondering if anyone has any tips for fitting this? Previous owner broke it and I’ve just bought the Vanstyle replacement. Just struggling with the geometry of it - the two lumps that it fits onto below the main bumper splay out sideways which means it doesn’t just slide on. Does it just force on? Bit scared to try in case I snap what it basically an expensive bit of plastic.

@Ryedale - non gen to gen fitment seemed a challenge when I fitted one and needed some manipulation if I recall.

I think I ended up buying a second hand gen one off eBay in the end and sprayed it up black before fitting.

I’m sure this won’t help as such but reassurance that fitment was also a challenge.

Cheers. It’s always good to know that it isn’t just me (even if it doesn’t fix the problem). I’ve checked and all the screw holes align etc.. so it’s definitely the right size. The shape of the main fitting lugs on the bottom of the bumper are the main issue but feel like with a push it might be ok. Not sure about the two little tabs that stick up into the bumper though, feel like they may become sacrificial…

Fine in the end - bit of a push and it slotted on. I think actually removing the old fixing screws made a difference as they were getting in the way a bit on the bottom 🙄
