Solow NXT small bump sensitivity adjustment?

I have a 2019 T6 kombi with solow NXT fitted, dropped approx 40mm, on 19” wheels running 255/45 load rated tyres. It doesn’t carry any weight and is basically a family car.

Since changing the suspension, the handling is great, barely any body roll and way more predictable.

The ride is no longer crashy, but it is firm. I find the small bump sensitivity is still lacking a bit. It’s hard to tell whether it’s generally the van rattling, but it definitely could feel smoother and more compliant.

Is there any adjustment that can be done, or is it just fixed?

The dampers are Not adjustable but it wouldn't help anyway , Most adjustable dampers like KONI are adjustable on rebound and its to control heavier wheels not to make the ride softer .

The side wall on your tyre is quite big so it wont be that causing the issue ,

It is a common complaint of the these type of shocks used in many kits today , at 40 mm lowering we wouldnt recommend the use of coil over kits as we get better results with a sport shock and spring . Coil overs are ideal lower than 50 mm .

Have you fitted longer drop links ?? that kit needs them to optimise the roll bar functions . ( this wont help the issue you have but it will improve cornering )

Thanks for the reply. I was actually going to get it dropped a bit more - other than ascetically, what difference will that make based on your point about coil overs suiting 50mm or lower?

It has standard drop links. I thought longer links were only required in the 6.1?

To be clear, the ride isn't awful and I'm comparing it to our other vehicle, a car. I appreciate at the end of the day it's a commercial vehicle shaped like a brick!

Personally i would lower it a bit more for sure the aim is the middle of the range , NXT is 35 to 65 mm i think , so 50 mm is a sweet spot . Change the drop links !

Cool, thanks for the advice. Top mounts is potentially another bit to do too (or that I should have done at the time)?

£18.00, less than the fuel to drive to a suspension specialist, plus you’ll get some attention down the pub.
