Too late for you now but this is why many suggest applying a wrap to the roof first then apply the solar panel to that.
I think you need another solar panel.
Strangely enough I removed and replaced my panel today. I'd added the previous one so I knew I'd only attached with 3m double sided VHB tape and other double sided tape with a small silicone bead. Lucky (maybe) I have 2 small ribs in the pop top so its not 100% flush mount which I think helped the removal.
Ouch! Maybe use some wrap to cover the area and fit the new panel to that (assuming you’re fitting a new one). Or use clear PPF and make sure the replacement panel is bigger than the damaged area.
