Hi all I really like the smoothis wheels but I'm aware you don't see them as much any more. Well not near me in Manchester anyway. I was offered a set with good tyres for £500.

Has this trend moved on now ??

Like the look ....its the lack of brake cooling and the sheer weight of them that has stopped me ever buying any .
 
They're very heavy that's all, so it's a lot of unsprung weight and probably not great for the steering and suspension components, they look class though!
 
Not my thing, they make the van look like one of those budget Hot Wheels cars they sell in blister packs at the supermarket.

But the next person might love them to bits.

Turns out all 4 wheels have 94w tyres on so shouldn't even be on a van. Thats changes everything now as id need to buy 4 new tyres. Purchase price needs adjusting a LOT
 
Likely used on a show van to allow the air to go low. Probably the only setup where these wheels really look at their best IMO
 
Not a comment on anyone in particular it maybe that individuality is not the desire but to rather identify in some way or identifying with something. Perhaps the identifier has moved on to join swamper! It seems to be increasing. I may unwittingly belong also, or it has caught up with me, am I a swampy. I guess even the most unfashionable can become enveloped and consumed, Swamped even. perhaps I should move on to tracked vehicles. Perhaps the super lows can only go so far that is to ground but with swamper and super swamper the sky is the limit I will become inadequate and flattened. :oops:

Sold Thread 'Navis Schmoov'

My van is in having some work done at the moment, but as soon as it's back, the wheels are coming off and being sold.

Navis Schmoov in 20" colour changed to my usual Chrome powder by Duchy.
Tyres all mint (not load rated) but wheels are used, so have several stone chips and we did clip a kerb on one, but it's been temporarily flatted and touched up, so not too bad. Basically they can be bolted straight on and most people wouldn't notice, but I just don't want anyone to think they are mint. This is reflected in the price.

£800 or might consider a deal on a set of 17" banded GPs or PX...

I run schmoovs on my T6. I like them. I’m lowered 135mm I like that too. I like it because I think it looks cool. I couldn’t give a toss what some no mark thinks about it.
Everyone has something that they aren’t so keen on, for me it’s pop tops. Pop tops look shit.
