Smart alternator

I have a Bosch 95ah battery which the smart alternator charges when driving 14+volts. It draws around 10ma when parked up, yet it is often sitting around 12.4v prior to start up. I haven’t had the battery that long so don’t think that’s the problem.
I’m not sure why it never seems to be fully charged?

The smart alternator only charges the battery to 80% to leave remaining capacity for the smart charging aspect from braking etc. Mine is currently sitting at 12.5V. I think your 12.4V is pretty normal.

What I notice is that it seems to crank slowly despite being at 12.4v?
