Does anyone know what these are for? They are on the centre strut of the double front seat and so far their only function seems to be to catch on stuff and stab me in the arm.
Will I regret cutting them off?
Thanks
Is that an emergency glass breaking tool with integrated seat belt cutter…stored UNDER the seat that might need said seat belt cut in order to get to, so that you can break said glass?

That’s the ‘help other people’ one which is next to the fire extinguisher. The one for ‘getting out of the van when trapped’ is mounted by the driver’s seat.
Thanks all.
I’ll break out the multi cutter and get them taken off. Then I can grab the ‘break glass’ hammer and save someone trapped in their car without risking damaging my coat sleeve.
No point in being a hero if you’re clothes are torn.

This is what the plastic covers look like (that clip into the studs)
As previuosly said, they protect the wiring in that area, so good especially if you store things with metal in there, so that it doesn't cause shorts etc.
