Sliding door central locking risk

Evening all.

Quick one. Is there a way to get sliding door closing NOT to centrally lock van. Couple of near bad experiences with keys in van and wife about to close sliding door.

One option is to take two sets of keys. But anyone else have this anxiety?

I can close mine with the key and they do not central lock though they may lock over a time, I just press the relevant side door key and it closes? Doesn’t every one with sliding doors do that? I agree about concern of having ones keys in the vehicle and if it where to lock. Have a set of keys for each person then it wont matter. I must be reading this wrong but can not see it!

More a problem when camping of course as in/ out of van. Kids tearing around etc. it’s been close a couple of times. Just would rather remove the risk. And only lock van when I want to, rather than when door closes

Not 100% sure what the problem is. Are you saying that closing the side door locks the van? This should only happen if you’ve pressed the lock button on the remote with the side door open, the van is now waiting for the side door to close in order to lock the van (as instructed) closing the side door will now tell the van that all the doors are closed and to lock up. You must have pressed the lock button beforehand to do this.
Or are you saying that the van arbitrarily locks whenever the side door closes, irrespective of whether it’s been told to?

Maybe I’ve got it wrong. Perhaps fob was pressed. I’ll continue with two sets of keys
