What's the best way to ship a driver's seat? Unfortunately not via the forum service, but commercially, as it were.

I'd of thought it would be best on a pallet

Yeah, this is where I'm not so confident. So do I need to buy a pallet, and then how do I need to package it? Or can I find a company to take that on, or would that be too costly?

Give Palletline a try...not used them to send but had quite a few delivered, seemed fine.

Go to your nearest industrial estate during the day and drive round the back of units looking for pallets. Ask before taking to be safe.
Then on the day of collection pallet outside somewhere the guys can get a pallet truck under, tie seat down then pallet wrap the lot and stick the label on.
If you've never wrapped a pallet before start from the bottom around pallet a few times, wrap up and over then back down around pallet again.
Sorted.

My Cali bed arrived on a pallet with another pallet screwed to it to form an L shape for protection. I’ve still got it if you’re anywhere near Brighton & Hove.

I used an ebike box from a local bike shop, it took a few hours to box up and I used an entire roll of gaffer tape but box was robust in the end. Then measured up and used shiply to get quotes. £70 from Hertfordshire to Aberdeen.
