Servicing Costs 150bhp Dsg

Hi all,

just booked the van in for

dsg service
Interim oil service
Cam belt / water pump
Mot

van is 4yrs old and 40k miles

Quote I’ve been given is £1006 which seems high they say if I can get a written quote from another garage stating they use VW parts they can price match.

so who have you used ? And what cost for the above?

Not too bad imo , from main dealer. I paid £700 for all of the above without the dsg service but inc brake fluid ,two years ago . Which also includes them picking the van up and delivery back to me .

Can I just ask, why change "Cam belt / water pump" @ 40k miles?

Age they are due on mileage and or time 4yrs I guess

You can advance pay the service element for a bit more saving with two or four services.

I suspect a good indy would be nearer £750 for that lot with genuine parts used.

Vw recommend 4yrs or I think 60k miles

Found the VAG center in bristol that seem to be about £800 using genuine parts

Just spotted you're in Bristol, I will be using VW Services in Bedminster now I'm out of warranty, they have previously serviced my VW/Audi cars and can recommend them for price and service
