Sensor 1 bank 3 nox

Recently purchased a van and had an error light which shows up P23AD00 NOx sensor circuit range/ performance bank 1 sensor 3. I spoke to the previous owner who changed the nox sensor near then end of the exhaust line recently as he had this issue, which you can see is brand new. I have had it in the garage today and they are saying there is only 2 nox sensors found and are confused with the error. Standard Google search is saying it is an exhaust gas temp sensor, he is saying the nox sensor readings are low 90ppm on the first point and 30ppm after. Is the error correct or has anyone had this issue before, thankyou.

ich hatte den Fehler bei meinem 2 Ltr TDI ( Skoda Yeti) Der Sensor 3 von Bank 1, wurde für 265€ ausgetauscht, der Fehler blieb. Ich hatte eine Werkstatt damit beauftragt heraus zu finden, ob das Kabel vom Sensor bis zu Steuergerät geg. einen Defekt hat (145€). Dabei wurde heraus gefunden, dass alle Kabel fehlerfrei waren. Jedoch wurde bemerkt, dass der Falsche Sensor getauscht wurde, nachdem dieser auch getauscht wurde, war der Fehler weg. Auf meine Frage hin wie kann eine Fachwerkstatt sich da vertun, wurde mir gesagt, dass die Beschreibung von VW-Konzern da etwas schwammig formuliert wurde. Bei mir war der Sensor im Katalysator, der nicht funktioniert hatte.

I had the same problem with my 2.0L TDI (Skoda Yeti). Sensor 3 on bank 1 was replaced for €265, but the error persisted. I then had a garage check if the cable from the sensor to the control unit was faulty (€145). They found that all the cables were fine. However, they noticed that the wrong sensor had been replaced. After replacing that one, the error disappeared. When I asked how a specialist garage could make such a mistake, I was told that the VW Group's instructions were somewhat vague. In my case, the faulty sensor was located in the catalytic converter.
