Hi all, I have the Outdoor Revolution SIM and it’s great but am just wondering if they are supposed to be stored inflated rather than rolled up? I’m thinking that the foam may become less inflating if compressed for some time
If it’s anything like normal SIM, used in camping, then ideally they are stored flat, with the valve fully open i.e. self inflated, to stop mould growing inside and the internal foam being constantly compressed. I put mine in the loft like that.
My experience is that SIMs will struggle to self-inflate if packed-away for 12÷ months. The manual intervention required to inflate, however, was minimal and wasn't required after a couple of inflation/ deflation cycles.
