Hi,

I have Simora trim fabric seats in my Camper - I find them a nightmare for keeping cleaning - literally rain water dripping in leaves really noticeable marks.

Budget won't stretch to being reupholstered. So was looking for something that is budget friendly and can just in effect spray and clean as being a camper they soon get dirty - have to remind myself it is a Camper and it will get dirty so can't keep shouting at the kids not to get dirty!!

I narrowed my searches based on reviews only. Turtle Wax Interior 1 Multipurpose Cleaner & Stain Remover gets really good reviews - helped but stains still remained. Autoglym Hi-Foam Interior Shampoo again good reviews - performed better but still stains...

Yesterday came across Gtechniq I2 Tri-Clean - probably previously ignored as seemed to read more a bacteria cleaner than actual upholstery cleaner. Anyway tried this afternoon and yippee - stains ALL gone - even ones that have been there a while and the other cleaners refused to budge.

So just thought I'd share - it's only £12.99 and defo does a great job, so may help others like me...

Have you got a link for that stuff?
By the way, I use a Vax carpet cleaner on the seats and it works well!

Here you go: Gtechniq I2 Tri-Clean 500ml - Cleans & Protects Car Upholstery from Spills, Dirt, Mess - Absorbs Odour, Kills 99.9% Bacteria, Powerful pH Neutral Cleaner - Lab Tested, Added Anti Microbial Technology: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike

I tried my carpet cleaner - but as I had to use the handheld attachment I found it just drowned the seat and didn't actually clean it that well.

I've tried lots of different way - from soaking etc - but just applied this stuff and literally has brought all the stains out, perfect.

Thank you for the link. Surprisingly, I found that the hand attachment removes more water than the main head does (as the same vacuum power is going through a smaller aperture.) Are you sure you aren’t pressing the trigger when you have it on “suck” mode?

The plain fabric part of the Simora trim does seem to get easily stained, almost ‘water marked‘ rather than staining. I’ve used a carpet cleaner on them before after a couple of months of camping but generally a wet cloth does the trick.

Yep - water marks - lots on mine as I have a Fiamma awning and water drips off the end onto the seat - for which I dont think there's a solution - the rainguard isnt going to stop this as far as I can make out.

Gtechniq stuff is cheap and quick - literally just wipe seats - so i'm happy - though if someone can propose an awning solution even better!

Thanks

+1 It's great stuff. I use it round the house too for getting cat sick stains and the like out of carpet. I'm not a fanboi for anything usually, but all of the Gtechniq range is excellent stuff.
