Yes easy to replace.just a pin on each ball on the ends. Just swivels round and pulls out.One of my rear struts has also gone. I'll order 2 new ones but how easy is it to replace them? Do they just clip in - I couldn't easily see how and don't want to apply unnecessary brute force!
I just used a ratchet strap.I've just ordered some from Proudtopop.co.uk for our SCA 194. We have the extra weight of a 150W solar panel and a Karritek kayak rack, so i have gone for the 650N adjustable struts. A ratchet strap and towel are needed to fit the new struts i'm told.
I was concerned that the ball and socket joint might not be compatible. PTP normally supply 10mm ball joints - but can supply 13mm joints. So i took one of my struts off, looks like the 13mm version is going to be the one.
