If you can’t find a specific SCA source, then these do struts for any application. I’ve used them for my T25 roof.

Grainfoot, did you manage to source rear struts for the SCA194? I have one that's gone, therefore I am also keen to get a set ordered as it twists the hinges when using. Getting the spec for SGS etc hasn't been that fruitful for me unless you have had more luck?

Anyone ordered any yet. Just wondering how long for delivery if coming from germany says 4-6 weeks?
Tried SGS engineering but they cant do anything to fit after giving them all sizes.
Thought it might have been cheaper and quicker than the £76 for the two struts from Banwy but it isnt so looks like shall order some.

One of my rear struts has also gone. I'll order 2 new ones but how easy is it to replace them? Do they just clip in - I couldn't easily see how and don't want to apply unnecessary brute force!
Yes easy to replace.just a pin on each ball on the ends. Just swivels round and pulls out.
The ones from Banwy came within a few days and had new retaining pins as well.

I've just ordered some from Proudtopop.co.uk for our SCA 194. We have the extra weight of a 150W solar panel and a Karritek kayak rack, so i have gone for the 650N adjustable struts. A ratchet strap and towel are needed to fit the new struts i'm told.
I was concerned that the ball and socket joint might not be compatible. PTP normally supply 10mm ball joints - but can supply 13mm joints. So i took one of my struts off, looks like the 13mm version is going to be the one.

Thanks, my order didn’t go through. I’ve now ordered 550N struts to a friend in France direct from SCA in Germany. Delivery to the uk doesn’t seem to be an option (thanks Boris).
