Rubber Trim Side Windows or Carpet?

So then, im just about to cut some nice holes in my T6 and having watched loads of videos it seems you can either use a rubber seal on the cut edges or carpet and tuck it in behind the glass from the inside. Whats the best option. Rubber seam looks way easier??

We cut the hole, treat it, then carpet line it, fit the rubber trim, so it’s a nice neat finish then fit window last

It's just stuck down with spray adhesive and folded over the metal edge, then tucked down the gap

I did my tailgate first and used the rubber window u trim. Don't really like it. I did the rest with the carpet glued and tucked using a trim tool and I think they look mush better. When I carpet my tailgate I'm going to rip out the rubber u channel and tuck the carpet to match the rest.
