I've been looking at Roof Top Tents for a while now & will hopefully buy one soon.

Would I be wrong to think most are similar quality in the triangular style & the flat top metal box type style?

I've two potentials - Thule Tepui 3 or James Baroud Evasion - but I have no idea of quality or standards etc just that these look decent. Equally there seem to be others on Amazon that look similar quality.

Anybody a sure fire recommendation that works well with T6 & room for 4 - two adults & two kids.

Home alu-cab have a good reputation amongst off road fraternity. Not used them myself so I can not give personal recommendation but they do appear very well made, thought out and tough. May be considered by some to be expensive but it depends on what you want.

We used a James Baroud Evo roof tent before converting the van. It was well made having been designed for support vehicles on the Paris Dakar rally back in the day. It was certified for use in winds up to 120 kph and from experience it would be fine in some fairly extreme conditions. Only negative was when we ordered it we payed the extra and supplied the ral paint code to match our starlight blue t6. As you can see from our name thumbnail it wasn’t even close.
