Roof Tent

Expensive compared to a standard tent. Considering you can't access it without going outside first I think I would rather have a standard tent

True....

But it looks AWESOME :p:D:p Can send kids to their room upstairs, which is a bonus.

In addition, you could also have an awning on the side door. Take you hours to decamp tho.. lol

Can you also stick them on the naughty step on their way up to the bedroom?

I've been tempted to buy similar for my Defender for a while - there are loads of variants out there, hard shell, soft shell, etc. and you do see quite a lot of them out there. Not seen one on a T6 yet though!!

The main advantage over a normal tent, besides camping off the ground for protection from predators (most designs originate from Africa and Australia) is the ease and speed with which you can put them up and take them down. The main body of the tent, usually complete with bed and bedding, just folds out in one go with only a few flexi poles around windows and doors and maybe a couple of guy lines. The annexes may take a little longer but again will be relatively quick to put up/take down.
