Robot Lawn Mowers

Our garden is right on the limit of what a mower can do, very steep slopes, weird shapes and lots of trees and other obstacles. We have a mammotion luba 2 and, whilst it can't do everything (no mower could), it does enough to reduce the workload substantially. You have to be patient setting it up and adjusting zones and suchlike until you've got it dialed in. However, on anything like a standard lawn with open areas and moderate slopes, I imagine it would do it with very little trouble.

The technology is improving all the time though, so once you add in tank tracks, lidar and much better navigation and control logic I'm hoping even our garden will be trouble free in a couple of years...

I don’t get why anyone would want to automate this task, mowing the lawn is the most therapeutic thing you can do in my book.

Give me your address and I’ll come round, I’m already doing the lawn opposite our house. My goal is to one day have a need to own a sit on mower
I never get to use mine, dogs are always on it

I use Husqvarnas, a 430x which will do over an acre and a 105 for the smaller front grass. Both are really good but 6 years old so not the latest technology, doesn't matter though they do a great job, have saved me hundreds of mowing hours.

I'm with you on this, love cutting the grass, even more satisfying whrn youvget a nice stripe going on, or a diamond cut pattern.

Concrete over yer lawn- bosh! I’ve just redesigned/redeveloped our garden. Mower went in the skip hammer throw style. Felt good watching the parabola flight path and huge crash as it landed. Gertcha!!
