Reverse Camera Coding?

hi,

I’ve installed a vw reversing camera to my t6 today. All straight forward until I’ve tried to code it with the vcds.

I’ve gone into the steering module (sorry can’t rember the number now as I’ve come in and given up) there is a tick box in the long coding helper that says “revers camera installed” woohoo! However I tick the box it says coding excepted but it doesn’t change. If I go back into the control module the box is unticked.

I have tried scrolling accross the tabs before closing and pressing “do it” each time it says coding excepted but doesn’t actually change.

I hope that makes sense and any help will be greatly appreciated.

Any update on this ? Did you get it too work ?
Think there are two places where you need to code the camera addition one in the headunit module 5F and one in the PDC control module 10

Hello all,
I’ve wired up my OEM camera and coded module 10 but VCDS will not communicate with module 5F. I’ve reseated the ISO connector, the unit functions perfectly so I’m at a bit of a loss. My Autel diagnostic also can not talk to 5F. 5F is showing in the CAN gateway list, am I missing some thing having removed/depowered4 the unit to install the two pins for video?
Any assistance much appreciated, the machine is still in bit’s until I’ve confirmed that the wiring is good.

Update,
Vintage VCDS software and cable were to blame. I found a cracking local mobile VW specialist who sorted it within 20 mins of my call using his laptop and cable. Ordered new kit today.
