replace factory reverse cam

Looking for a better than staqndard 6.1 reverse cam (which is crap resolution).
Anyone had any luch?

Also looking to have a switch to switch between reverse cams so I can have a left and right facing one for backing out of drives etc if you know what i mean?
Would like a 3 way switch near head unit to switch the 3 different cams.
Is this possible to tap into the camera input into the standard radio?

The headunit is not fussy about what picture it displays, it has one video input on the rear and whatever video signal is fed to this will be displayed on the screen when reverse is selected, i can see no reason why your idea wouldnt work, just make sure you use compatible cameras as they need to be NTSC and not PAL

Thanks for the info. Do you the input in the rear? Is it just part of the multi jack plug?

Yes it’s part of the quadlock connector
Pins 6 and 12 in the blue connector

Its done via canbus

Yes but you might need to isolate it with a relay. The reverse light feed is switched by PWM and some cameras don’t like this.
