200 Watt 12 Volt Monocrystalline Solar Panel

Selling a brand new, still-boxed Renogy 200W 12V monocrystalline solar panel. The panel itself is in perfect condition – box has a couple of scuffed corners from storage but otherwise all good.

Looking for £80, collection preferred from Bristol.
Happy to look into postage and provide a quote if needed.

Cheers,
Pete

I was originally planning to fit it to my T6 using roof bars, but I’ve since had a pop-top installed, so I decided to go with flexible panels instead. They’re not as efficient, but they’re much lighter.

It’s a sizeable panel, but it will fit on the roof. You’d need to source your own fittings, as I never got that far with the installation.

Hi Pete
I’ll ask my local guy what he thinks, he quoted me £1000 to have one fitted, he said the wiring is time consuming, he’s a family friend and very particular.

I’ve done the installation myself, so I never received a quote and don’t really have anything to compare it to.

If that price is for labour only, it does sound a little on the high side. But if it includes the cables, brackets, and a charge controller, then it’s probably about right.

That said, I can’t really give reliable info on installation costs, as I’ve not gone through that route myself.

This will be suitable for your T6, but if you have a pop top you will likely have to put stronger pneumatic struts on to lift the extra weight.
It's not a simple DIY fit as it involves running a couple of cables to a solar controller and on to the leisure battery. Then you need a means of attaching it to your roof.

I have a smaller panel (principal is the same) fitted to roof bars on my poptop and it works well.
So if the quote includes a solar controller and some sort of mounting hardware and struts etc, then its not a bad price. But if it's just labour then you're going to end up with one hell of a bill.
Do you know someone that could help you do it yourself? There's a ton of info on the forum.

Seems expensive to me.
I got the panel and wiring etc for £200. Even paying £300 for a days labour to fit doesn’t come near to a grand.
I’ve also got a huge 360w rigid panel on my LWB pop top.
The roof needs more of a push to get started bits still goes up on it’s own and I’ve not upgraded the pistons
