Rear genuine led lights

Been looking at the rear led lights on the shop
Is it a simple plug and play or will they need coding before they will work,
TIA

I fitted some which I bought elsewhere so had to change the plugs but then just plug them in and they worked, I'm sure the shop ones come with a fitting kit so you just plug them in and there's cables for the extra fog and reversing lights which the leds have.

Yes as above there is no coding involved but you do have to swap the connector housing as the LEDs use a different plug, it's just a case of extracting the wires/terminals from the old plug and inserting them into the new supplied plug
Full instructions are included
It is possible to get a bulb fail warning after fitting them which would need VCDS to clear but not come across this yet

Had OEM LED rear light disconnected for a few minutes (because of sliding door rail adjustment). It was recorded as fault (see below). Didn't have ignition on during the job but ignition key was still in place in lock (though turned fully ccw) so there were some activity still in the van - radio, etc! Actually during same visit the DPF pressure sensor was changed, and that was also recorded in fault log as failing to communicate.

But haven't checked if it would be different if key is removed - definitely would be on safer side to do so.

Anyways, both faults cleared themselves soon at some point (checked again after two weeks - they were gone then (about 30 engine starts). No warnings on dash.
