Rear Door Lock Assemble Removal

This is my first post here, so apologies in advance if this has already been posted ...

I'm in the process of converting my T6 into a camper and am applying lots of sound deadening. I want to apply some to the rear doors behind the lock assembly (barn doors). I can get everything off the big assembly plate except for the pushrod attached to the exterior handle. How do I disconnect this? Everything else seemed to come off without too much force but I just can't seem to get it disconnected! What am I missing?

Many thanks

Normally the push rods have a 90 degree kick in the end and you have to twist the plastic latch to the side to allow the rod to pull out

Dellmassive,
your answer was spot on! I was trying to disconnect the pushrod (8) from the TOP, I didn't realise that it came off at the bottom.

Job done!

Many thanks all
