Rear Climate

My Caravelle has climate controls in the front and in the back (on the ceiling). I have AC but notice that the air in the back does not use the AC, it's just normal air. Also if I just turn on the cool air in he back the AC light does not come on, nor can I turn it on.
Is this right?

@StudleyGlass has rear climate. He'll be able to confirm.

AFAIK the rear air is just cooled air from the unit in the rear, it is separate from the air con. in the front/cab. The heating part is run from hot water from the engine piped to the the rear unit .
Mine is only a kombi not a caravelle so i am not sure they work the same TBH.
