Chrome Exition 35th Anniversary. One of only 550 made.
This is brand new in the box, I went on the waiting list and got selected so I paid £600 for it. But...... that was before I owned a T6 and had disposable income! I know I’m going to regret selling it one day but I need the money now for mods. My original plan was to hang it on the wall, but the money would be much better spent on other things. I will take £600 for it as that’s what it cost me. If you’re my age you’ll remember how cool these were back in the day.

Ooooo sweeeet. I had one of the original Raleigh burners. White frame with blue mag wheels. So wish I hadn’t sold that for a Tenner when I was 16.

I was emailed the receipt, I imagine there are instructions etc. In the box, but I haven’t opened it.....I’m afraid that if I do I’ll want to build it! If anyone is seriously interested in buying it I’d be happy to open the box and take pics. I’ve also got a limited edition Santa Cruz Spider-Man skate board deck still in the original wrapper. But I’m never selling that

Sorry to say this but when I rode bmx in the 80s Raleigh burners were rubbish .......but yep now there worth a mint .....but give me a redline any day

This thread takes me back to a pre van, (considerably cheaper) project I did for Donkey junior. Took some Ford Rapid blue spray paint to his Mongoose Rapture (inset photo), added white walls, tan saddle, pedals and grips,decals and white cables.

I’m of the age that missed the BMX stage altogether, during that era all my bikes had to have blue smoke belching out the back or I didn’t want to know, so these have no nostalgia for me whatsoever. Now the chopper someone had the other week, that’s one I really wanted

I had an ultra burner after my Puch got nicked. Black and gold it was. And if memory serves, Raleigh fitted a fatter tyre at the front after Harry Leary (Diamondback factory rider) commented on TV that it "helped him carve round corners".

I was already into road bikes when the BMX craze hit. Our kid had a couple of different BMX bikes and still does I think. I never got it.
Nice tho. Can always appreciate a good bike.
