Rain getting in the open sliding door when the awning is out

I purchased a Rhino-Rack Sunseeker awning which is adequate. However the gap between the brackets (to the roof racks) and the roof means that water pours in during showers if the awning is out and the door is open. More a function of the distance between the roof and the awning. Anyone have any suggestions as to what product or solution is available to solve this?

The factory California awning has a plastic weather strip that clips into the rail between the bracket, may there is something similar for yours?

I’ve seen some posts with people stuffing pre-formed foam pipe insulation into the gap.
Looks like a cheap solution.

Hi, I had a similar problem, I purchased some rubber strip (suggested to be for a front spoiler lip), it comes with 3m tape and sticks nicely between the roof and awning. you just need to make sure it drains somewhere sensible - likely to still be under the awning!
