R.I.P HM QEII

I know it’s not VW T6 related…..

Last year I had the honour and privilege as RSM to be part of the Escort Party of The Queen’s Royal Hussars Guidon for HRH Prince Philip’s funeral.

As I’ve sat watching the news over the last week and think about our servicemen and women involved in Monday’s parade I know exactly how they are feeling, all the emotions and how extremely proud they will be on Monday.

I will be watching them with absolute pride and honour as they say one last goodbye to our Queen…

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN/KING

The Mrs was keen to watch the funeral today so we both sat for most of the day.

I have to say, we must have the best drilled armed forces in the world. We certainly know how to do pomp and ceremony.
Brought a lump to the throat watching those 8 young lads carrying out their bearer party duty impeccably.
All credit and respect to the planning and execution of the event.
A sad day for the country but the event was viewed by billions around the world.
For me, today was a day to be proud to be British.

RIP ma'am.
