Gents.....for what it's worth, I always use it because I was reliably informed that, yes......most fuels come from the same refineries in the same tankers, but that certain supermarkets then add things such as ethanol (I don't think diesel contains ethanol but you get my drift) at the pumps. I ran a petrol 2001 6cyl bmw touring for 15 years and came to the conclusion that the premium fuels were worth the extra. It ran better and definitely returned better mpg. My sister in law ran a diesel vw.......lots of stop start town driving......ran like a pig. I advised her to try a premium derv and hey presto! I'll be using premium derv when I pick up my new T6 this week.....and I'll be adding diesel Rhino too! Maybe over kill but I'll have it a long time so it'll be getting additional intermediate oil changes too. Cheaper than a new engine!!
Just my tuppence worth.....fwiw!

reading reviews on the Millers Eco Max additive it sounds like good stuff. I may give this a go.

Longlife services v intermediate oil change - That sounds like a whole new thread :thumbsup:

I'm also quite excited that I managed 41mpg on a run down the A1 at a steady 70 yesterday, best figures so far!
I didn't use cruise as it stops the coasting function and costs me 2-3 mpg on average.
:(mmmm, I need to work on the eco driving; 85mph on Adaptive CC, 300 mile round trip at ave speed for journey 70mph = 32mpg with Millers adaptive. But what a superb drive Love it, Love it, Love it:)

Bought some Millers in Halfords today - guy on the checkout told be he uses it all the time. I will let you know if I notice a difference. Should be due for a refuel end of this week.

Oops yes I get c35mpg at 80+ too......

Not used it myself but as my T6 150dsg van is approching its first birthday with 24k on the clock, my only disappointment is the fuel consumption. Ranges from 24 - 30 mpg occasionally getting 35 on a run. Have tried a few things (like being gentle with my right foot!) such as the COAST option (couldn't get on with it) and making sure I dont carry unneccessary gear. I have mixed driving with a bit of motorway and urban. The best I’ve found is 65/70 on motorway (lucky to keep that constant on M25/M4/M3) when I can achieve 35 on a long run.

I normally use my local Sainsburys but have recently got a fuel card from Velocity. They specialise in fleet use. You can use BP, Shell or Esso. The price is fixed every week and is always cheaper than what the garage shows. For instance Shell at M25 Cobham services was 128.9/liter and I could have got it for 120.9 but my local Sainsburys was 118.9. With the admin fees its not always cheaper but at least you get brand name fuels. I can usually guage my needs but if I get caught out when on the road and need to fill up at least I can get it a bit cheaper. Shell at M25 Cobham services have an adblue pump at £2.10/liter. If you buy more than £50 of diesel you can get adblue for 70p/liter. That was a couple of weeks ago.
