Power latching soft close motor replacement - T6 Caravelle

Hi,

Has anyone replaced this motor? I'm having the issue where it tries to pull in the door to power latch 2-3 times then just gives up. I have removed the rear trim panel and can see the motor. Just wondering if anyone here has replaced and if there's a good test to know if this motor is the issue. I can see they are £300 to replace so would be good to be sure.

Also, anything to be aware of when replacing? Looks like the task is to remove the striker plate then remove motor and replace

I suspect it’s more likely the control module, they suffer from getting damp and usually you can see the corrosion from the board

Do you know where I can find that? I don’t have powered doors just a motor for the latch

Hi, I know there are a few threads on this and I've read 'em all ...

2024 Highline Kombi, full electric sliding doors. Trying to find the fuses, soft close not working on one door only.

Doesn't seem to be the fuses under passenger seat, not sure if the soft close bit would have a separate fuse anyway?

As far as I can see the soft close mechanism is operated by a Bowden cable inside the door?

Edit: OBD11 finds no fault with the door.

The module is in the rear quarter between the wheel arch and back of van, not very logically as you would expect it to be in or next to the door
