Possible Coding issue infotainment

I’ve just fitted a composition media CarPlay head unit taken from our vw sharan that was written off and fitted it in our highline T6 the t6 had the standard 6 button unit originally.

Component protection was removed

The stereo works fine with the exception of the usb connection I’m getting power through the usb but no data transfer I’ve tried a few cables resetting etc but no joy

I have genuine VCDS here

I’ve not coded this unit to the van etc?

Try an Android phone. If data works with that then it'll be the USB socket in the van not being carplay compatible so would need to change that.

I hadn’t thought of that - nowt is easy with a VW

Bang on the money mate works fine with the android obviously just need a compatible socket will have to source a part number

Don’t change the whole wire, you can just change the connector but you need to cut a bit of plastic off so it mates.

Cool have ordered one now it will be hidden behind the dashboard so that I’ll be able to connect my carlinkit to the dash socket that I had for the kenwood.
