Hi

Any suggestions outdoor be great

Ecoflow delta2.

.

I assume it's a 12v fridge?

I used to use a Bluetti PS72 which is similar to their current model BLUETTI AC70 Portable Power Station | 1,000W 768Wh

As an example, if the fridge uses 50w, it would be able to run it forever 12 hours on a full charge and you would obviously top it up in the day with solar or by other means.

I believe the Jackerys are still using Lithium-ion batteries which have a fraction of the cycle capacity and I think more expensive. Something to be wary of.

Only the Explorer 500 which I didn't consider.

Thanks

A lot of options lol
Possibly one with a solar panel

Still undecided lol

After taking a look I noticed the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 does use LiFePO4, which is a great improvement — but be careful as other than the v2 in the name its marketed the same. In general, LiFePO4 is the way to go for longevity and safety, so it’s worth prioritising that when choosing.

The EcoFlow units are also excellent — very well regarded across the board.

You might also want to check out the Anker Solix C1000 — Anker have consistently made great products for a long time.

I wouldn’t base your decision on the solar panels packages. Personally I would buy panels separately as there is a bigger market for portable solar panels, and be mindful of the maximum solar input the power station supports. For reference:
  • Anker C1000: 600W
  • EcoFlow Delta 2: 500W
  • Jackery Explorer 1000 v2: 400W
  • Bluetti AC70: 500W
Hope that helps!

I’ll post it in the discount thread too but, @Andyf - just so you’re aware there is a discount code ‘Bright20’ on eBay at the minute for a few brands that do solar, power packs, even fridges and portable air con in some cases.

Bluetti, EcoFlow, Renogy, Anker and Vtoman (the owner of Gooloo).

For the smaller variants I purchased this from Amazon - https://amzn.to/3ZXMUIl

My Bluetti PS72 700wh fits super snug inside as if it was made for it and then I use the pockets for the cables.

I don't see why not, but I don't think you'd be able to plug anything into the front unless you lay it face up. The only thing I would worry about would be it getting hot with high loads but that would be rare. Also consider putting drain holes in the bottom just in case for whatever reason it gets left out in rain or something gets spilled inside.

Can these power packs be run in box
If you search LiPo battery bags you should find bags that zip and Velcro closed (allowing cables to run through) but the material and construction makes them quite fireproof - something useful in a camper.
They were originally designed to be used when charging RC model batteries but are now available in a huge range of sizes for all sorts of applications.
