Pop-top Window.

Hello.

So we went to see our converter and he is well into custom builds and things. It is really awesome to hear the enthusiasm in his voice when he is talking about our van.

Anyways, the thing that I am going to miss most about our Bongo is the rooflight (just a square of glass in the poptop roof that let in loads of light, it didn't open or anything like that). So, we spoke to him about and he has never heard of it but is going to ask around and see whether it can be done.

I thought that I would ask on here... has anyone seen any form of rooflight/window in the poptop roof?? Or has anyone looked at it but decided against it for some reason??

Thanks in advance.
:)

I’ve only ever seen one on a hi-roof T6 with autohaus conversion.
In essence it was just like one you get in a caravan. A pop-top roof light.
Haven’t seen a fixed one.

Skyline had concerns about me drilling a 35mm hole for my solar panel rear cable exit, they were suggesting any warranty would be void if the roof broke after I drilled through it, now Phil Harris had the prospect of cutting a 9x2 inch slot in his roof to fit his solar panel and I suspect they would have had kittens at the thought of that monster, and as for a 12 inch square (or larger) hole for a skylight, well, I would say all bets are off if anything goes wrong in the future.
