PMS3V replacement charger supply switch

We’ve just gone to turn on the charger supply button in the PMS3V power control
system and the red button pinged off and it looks like the sides of the red piece of plastic has broken. Would anyone know how we might go about sourcing a replacement switch and also how to fit it please?

A system like this?

The switch is probably a fairly standard illuminated rocker switch by the looks of it - the challenge is that those are densely packed units with mains present and by the looks of it the case is riveted not screwed together.

So getting to the switch is likely to mean physically dismounting and disconnecting all the cabling, drilling out the rivets, disassembling the unit, changing the switch, and then the reverse. Drilling out the rivets is an issue as you'd need to make sure now drill swarf ended up in the unit.

Have you got some pictures?

If you can can you take out the 4 mounting screws and see if the unit will slide forward enough to see how the case is assembled.

Unfortunately from what I can see it's likely to be hard to service, a more practical DIY option would likely be to replace it.

Also a rather important warning, that switch will be in the 240v mains side and it looks like the ejected bit in your hands has the contact arm attached to it.

That means that there are likely exposed terminals at mains voltage in the remaining bottom of the switch on the panel.

Be very sure to make those as safe as you can, by the looks of it MCB3 can behind turned off to make it safe as it's unlikely you have a mains powered fridge.

Thank you so much. I can’t seem to find the company who makes the units online anywhere to ask them about it

No they seem a bit behind the scenes don't they? The brands that seem to crop up are "Bonus" and "CEC"

Jacksons Leisure seem to sell them and host manuals, might be worth getting in touch with them about potential repairs?

I tried to find out who actually makes them also - the closest that I came to anything in a marathon search for an hour or so was a reference to Sargent somewhere. Strange that there is no information anywhere about them.
