Morning,

Seen these online reduced to £750 so now tempted to replace my headunit rather than pay the fee to activate carplay. But, can the OEM reverse camera be used with it? I expect at least some sort of adapter will need to be made or bought.

And does it need wiring into the DAB ariel and GPS antenna in the wing mirror? Not too hard to be honest.

Any other tips on how hard these are to fit?

Definately a question that @Absolut5 will be able to answer.

I asked exactly the same question to Absolut5. Very helpful guy but there are a load of extras needed that bump the cost up to 900 quid or there about. The unit will work with the existing dab Ariel but if you have parking sensors you need an add-on module, also need a USB adaptor etc.

Blow my budget so am saving now

To install one of these correctly you need the following

Flush facia, for the best fit
Dab adapter
Fm adapter
USB retention kit
Interface for mfsw/parking sensors (expensive)

Also you may need a part depending ion if you have a single or twin battery setup
